The Bus Graveyard

Spread the love

Incorporated in 1998 and opened for public in 2004, the collection consists largely of unrestored buses stored in the open air, some dating as far back as 1948. As of 2008, with 354 buses in the collection, it was claimed by the owner to be the largest transport museum in Europe “and possibly the entire world”. By June 2011, the number was “over 400” Unfortunately the office and 11 Ulsterbus Tigers were destroyed by fire the same month. There are buses and fire engines in the collection. Currently in a terrible state. Very sad view how the big part of Ireland’s and
Nothern Ireland’s history just grows to the ground.
